The Sacred Triduum

Holy Thursday
5:30 p.m. Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Bishop Scharfenberger will preside and will be joined by members of the presbyterate to concelebrate this Eucharist with the community. After this liturgy, which will include the washing of the feet, the Eucharist will be reserved at the Holy Apostles’ Altar for adoration and quiet prayer until midnight. Night prayer will be at 10:00 p.m.

5:30 p.m. Celebration of the Lord’s Passion
Bishop Scharfenberger will preside We prostrate ourselves in silence before our All Holy and Loving God. The singing of the Passion. Our intercession for the world. The veneration of the Cross. Holy Communion.

Holy Saturday

12:15 p.m. Midday prayer
8:30 p.m. Solemn Vigil of Easter (Nightwatch of the Resurrection)
Bishop Scharfenberger will preside
We will keep watch in the darkness. The new fire will be kindled. The Exsultet (giving thanks for the light). The Liturgy of the Word. The Liturgy of the Eucharist.
