The week of Corpus Christi is a priceless annual opportunity to renew our core Christian faith in the real, substantial, living presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist–His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

We would like to organize online signups for two Adoration events at the Cathedral, so that the Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament is not left alone:
(1) Corpus Christi Adoration on June 22, 9:15 am – 5 pm.
This will follow a Eucharistic Procession with singing and prayers from Historic St. Mary’s after 8:00 am Mass to the Cathedral. Participants can park near the Cathedral (on the street or on the 4th level of the parking garage catty corner from the Cathedral) and take free CDTA buses from Madison Ave. at the Cathedral to St. Mary’s at 7:35 am and 7:50 am so that they can attend the 8:00 morning Mass at Historic St. Mary’s. Adoration will continue all morning at the Cathedral with music and prayers and meditative silence until the 11:00 AM Mass, where Bishop Scharfenberger will be the celebrant! Exposition and Adoration will flow from the 11:00 Mass all afternoon until the 5:00 PM Mass at the Cathedral. Confessions will be available at 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. The rosary will be prayed 30 minutes before each Mass at the Cathedral.
(2) “40 Hours” Devotion: Holy Masses and continuous Adoration, to celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Adoration will begin after the 5:15 pm opening Mass on Thursday, June 26 and continue through 5:15 pm Mass of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday June 27 until Saturday morning 9:00 am Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on June 28, when attendees will be able to make their consecration/entrustment to Jesus through Mary, or renew their consecration.
