Join us for a Chant Workshop at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (at the corner of Eagle Street and Madison Avenue in downtown Albany).  Dr. Brian F. Gurley, Cathedral Director of Music and Organist, will be the presenter.

This introductory workshop will include a discussion of basic chant theory, but focus on practical applications for choristers and conductors alike.  The Choir of the Cathedral will be present to lead demonstrations.  Following the workshop, a brief service of Sung Compline will be celebrated, observing the Solemnity of the 164th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Please share the event and bring your choristers and friends! The event is free and open to the public.  Street parking is available along Madison Avenue.  Free parking is available in the lighted “Cathedral Lot” (operated by NYS), the entrance to which is located off of Madison Avenue behind the Cathedral.  Handicap entrance is located at the Madison Avenue transept.
